How Do I Get a Library Card?
Answer
A library card is issued free of charge to any person who can verify their current address in California. Fill out the library card application and your library barcode will be emailed to you within a few business days. We'll mail your physical card to the address on your application.
Your library card should not be used for anyone else, as you are responsible for all materials checked out on your record. If your card is missing, please notify the library immediately. A replacement card will cost $2.00

I'm surprised and disappointed that I can't find a link to renew my library card on line. It expired a month ago without notice from the library by email.

Jeff, we're so sorry you had this experience. There is no link for renewal because library cards can only be renewed in person. Please come by anytime we're open and we'll take care of this at the Customer Service desk on the first floor. While you're there, if you like you can make sure we have your current email address.
